Well... if it comes without the updated bios I am thinking your machine will not boot with the non-compatible cpu and you would be stuck.

You could find the bios update and boot into it on a USB and update it. What board is it?

buy a b250 board, i assume you're buying a kaby lake processor

Assure your getting a kb cpu..

H250
B250
Z270 board

You can't just update it you need a working processor like a skylake on it otherwise there won't be any display so you can't upgrade get a cheap b250 Mobo instead
