What's the go with gpu pci-e power connections? Like if you have an 8 pin and a 6 pin. What's a better configuration... having seperate cables or the piggy back design?

Separate cables in a modular power supply is better for your system, no wasted power or too much voltage being pulled through double adaptors and the like.
