1080 or 1080Ti

My 1080 performs great at 3440x1440 typically maxed out (Some games I knock some settings down to high to keep a solid 100fps).

Vega 64 honestly.

But you’d love a 1080ti if you have have a few extra bucks.

I run a 1070 strix in 1440p and I must say sometimes it struggles. So I'd personally go 1080/ti

I have a 1080 with a 1440p monitor and it's fantastic. Runs every game with no issues with all maxed settings. Also, a 1080 would last you more than a year or two, not sure where the guy above got that from. 1080's will be good for at least like another 4 years.

GTX 1070 or RX Vega 56

Both can easily play almost all games at 1440 on Ultra with 60+FPS

Honestly 1060-1070, when you go higher like the 1080 or 1080ti, the price for performance diminishes.

If 1440 is your goal and factoring best bang, the 1070 is the card for you. A 1080 or higher would be overkill. And if you decide to dabble in 4k, the 1070 is capable is as well. The money saved over getting a 1080 can then help you get a decent 1440p monitor as well.

if youre wanting to go 144hz go 1080 ti, but if you are just targeting 60 fps I would think a 1070 would suffice
