It’s a word problem. The only tames you have are gigas and dodos. You don’t have any compys. the question is how many compys do you own, not how many tames. The answer is 0. The subject of the question is the compys.

Just because 3 compys died doesn’t mean they’re your compys. The questions stated you only own gigas and dodos. Then, it states that a random trio of compys dies and asks, in reference to the compys, how many you have left. It’s 0. It isn’t not asking how many dinos you have left. It’s asking how many compys.

Nowhere does it ask “how many dinos do you have left.” It asks “Three compys die, how many do you have left?”

If you reword it to include having compys, the problem would read;

You have 4 Gigas, 3 compys, and 7 Dodos. 3 compys die, how many do you have left?

The answer is 0, as the subject of the question is the compys, and if you were to have had them, it is 0.

The question isn’t worded correctly for the answer to be 11 is the issue. The system may want you to input 11 but the answer, if you follow how word problems work and account for the sentence structure, is 0. But whatever. There’s a reason that you have to do a human check after.
