My old laptop had broken screen and case so I disassembled it and took the motherboard hard drive and got it working on an old 768p 60hz monitor. My question is: can it run on a 1080p 60hz monitor?

Specs i5-2540m
6gb 1333mhz ddr3 cl9 ram
Intel hd graphics 3000

What about a 2560x 1080 ultrawide?

I just want to watch youtube and movies on it. Im asking about ultrawide because its the same resolution movies are filmed at.

I think intel hd only supports 720p,are you sure it dosen't have a dedicated gpu??

Sure it can run a 1080p 60 hz display for simple desktop tasks and video watching. Dont try gaming on the thing tho.
