Is there any RPG with great plot and character development without much exploration or puzzle solving?

It can be text based, 2D, or 3D. I just dont want to travel 50kms to found a precious bones inside a trunk, or align three levers together to open am ancient gate. What I'd love to have is an interactive story in which I can take part to see how it unfolds. Can be on PC, browser, or android.
