If you had to choose between an r9 280x(3gb) and an r9 380(4gb) which would you choose?

Ran unigine heaven and the 280x had a max frame rate of 90, hte 380 had 86... Same min frame score...

I may be letting my brother use 1 of these and want to know which is the best of the 2.

The 280x is a Powercolor branded card and the 380 is an msi gaming card.

I love my 280x but I'd drop it for a 380 if I had a choice

They're more or less the same. The 280X being slightly faster outright but the 380 having 1GB more VRAM and a bit better OC ceiling.

I have a 280X myself and am looking at getting a 970 or a 1060 as an upgrade. It's still solid for 1080p, surprisingly good being a 5 year old chip (rebranded 7970, Tahiti XT)
