I want to download Windows 10 from the Microsoft website for a new hard drive (same PC), can I use my product key that I used to install Windows previously again, or will it still recognise my first activation? (Windows 10 came with the computer). Sorry for noobiness

You can keep the same key if you aren't swapping CPU and MoBo

You can even reuse the key if you swap motherboards. You just need to call ms, explain what you've done and they will reactivate it for free.

If it is the retail and not the OEM version, you won't have any issues no matter what you change.

Just download jellybean I think. It saves your key and u can re use it.
