Gears of War 4, running maxed out, in 8K forcing 100% usage on my two GTX 1080s, using damn near 20 gigs of RAM. I'm surprised I was able to keep it at a steady 15 FPS!

Why would so much RAM be used?

Try Titan or 1080Ti....
BTW and also consider i9 processor or Ryzen 7 if you bottleneck (threadripper too)
