For those who have Stardew Valley, could a few people give me some helpful tips on what would be recommended? Not asking for spoilers, just a few tips, thanks!

I am just entering summer, I've been doing fishing as my main supply for money currently. Anything specific I should avoid doing?

on your first year concentrate on your farm rather than socialising but do try to participate in events, if an item description says donate to Gunther then do so as he will give you a key to the sewer that will allow you to buy iridium sprinklers which waters 24 surrounding tiles, also always try to complete sections of the community centre, most can be grown, forage and fished it’s just the trip that’s time consuming so I suggest group them and take the items once a week

Certain things to build, focus on, that stuff, nothing that spoiles the game to much.

Some people are saying to not focus on socializing but I disagree. You should focus on giving gifts to the bachelor/bachelorette you want to marry as they will give you a random item every now and then after you marry them and they can help around the farm like watering crops or feeding animals.
For crops, you want to be careful not to buy a bunch of crops at the end of a season because they’ll all die. Look at how long they take to grow before you buy and make sure you have money for crops the following season.
The big money making crops are strawberries, blueberries and cranberries. Strawberries are only available at a festival at the end of spring so you’ll want to buy some for the following year but not too much that you’ll run out of cash for summer crops.
Blueberries and cranberries you can just buy from Pierre. If you focus on these two crops, you should have more money then you know what to do with by winter.

You should also spend rainy days in the mines to try and get as far down as to can. It helps with upgrading tools and finding gems that sell for a decent amount and quite a few villagers love certain gems as well.

my tip with mining, if you die or pass out in the mine, just quit the game and just restart your day, it’s not worth losing ITEMS, MONEY, DEPTH LEVEL and exhausted he next day
