DS3 or 4 for racing games and 360 or x1 controller for platformers

There are games which suit controller better. I think you should get yourself a bluetooth reciever and use the PS3 controller wireless and charge it when not in use.

KB & M is better for almost any game except driving but its nice to sometimes relax with a controller.

I have a wired Xbox 360 controller that I use occasionally for certain games, ordered a steam controller just to give it a shot cause it was on sale, but will have to wait and see how that is.

I'm a firm believer in I'd it aint broke, don't fix it'. So I would say save your money and keep the ps3 controller.
