It’s just easier because you have more slack, you should have areas to hide the extra length behind the motherboard, some zip ties are gold

Did you not get a manual with the mobo? I just followed that and had no problems. Just make sure to actually read some of the connections. Some are plus and minus

I know it’s too late but an important step that gets missed is making sure the MoBo standoff’s (usually preinstalled) are all tight to the case so if you ever remove the mobo they don’t come with it

I usually double them over, zip tie them together, and tuck them either behind the back plate or under a hard drive or something.
