I tore apart an old external hdd for my ide reader/writer. If you've got an old one may be worth looking Inside to see if it's sata or not.

If you have a desktop just install it in the pc lol easiest fix I can think of otherwise you can just get an adapter for like 20 bucks at your local pc store or online

check a HDD dock station. it can have the connection for it and all you have to do is just put it on. USB connection as well.
